Our first trip home to Indy!!!!!!!!!!

We ventured to Carmel on the January 2, 2009 for a big weekend to hang with family!! We all had so much fun and the boys slept the WHOLE way there, except to eat!! We started off by visiting aunt Holly and aunt Kristin and meet our new girlfriend Ava, Holly's new little girl. What fun to all get together. We know there are a lot of fun memories ahead of us with Ava and the boys. Then we went to nana and pop-pops to stay for the weekend. Thanks aunt Cassie for letting us stay in your room and helping with feedings in the middle of the night!! And nana and pop-pop for letting mommy and daddy sleep and taking care of us through the night. Saturday we went to the lake house and got to spend quality time with grandma, grandpa, mimi, aunt hoddie, aunt nancy, aunt paige, and uncle steve. Ethan and Eli are aunt hoddies great-great nephews!! We can't wait to go on the boat next summer at the lake house.

That evening we went to pappa and grammy's house for the Colts game (bummer that they lost!). The boys got to meet a lot of their relatives on the Shepherd side that night. They had fun, but wore out by the end of the night. On Sunday we were planning on making it to church, but mom was exhausted and we still had a big day with the Bowman/D'Onofrio clan. The boys met a lot of their cousins and aunts and uncles on Sunday.... lots of kids to play with when they get a little bit bigger. Aunt Amy bathed Eli and fed both of the boys!! She is their great aunt...how fun. Molly, Meg, aunt Brenda, uncle Keith, uncle Andy, aunt Liz, all the kids, aunt Court, uncle Mike (happy birthday uncle Mikey!), pappa and grammy all came over to visit the boys. It was crazy but so much fun.

We headed back to Evansville on Monday and went to see the doctor on Tuesday. Ethan now weighs 7.5 pounds and Eli weighs 6.7 pounds. They are getting big!! Too big....I mean I want them to get big enough to sleep through the night but little during the day!! I don't want them to move into newborn clothes yet. They are just my little guys.
